The Director of Programs develops and implements all public programs, fund raising events, meetings, historic site/museum interpretation, special events, marketing, publicity, volunteer recruitment, training and coordination for this award winning historic preservation organization in the Madison, Indiana National Historic Landmark District. The Director of Programs is responsible for the visitor experience at all of the organizations’ museum and other properties, maintains admission, visitation, and volunteer statistics and directly supervises a part-time Programs Assistant as well as a contract Event Coordinator for the Shrewsbury-Windle House National Historic Landmark. The position provides preservation-related information to the public and works with staff from sister institutions, including City of Madison historic preservation staff, on areas of common concern. This position reports to the Executive Director.This is a permanent, full-time, salaried, position requiring occasional weekend and holiday work.
