This webinar took place on January 27, 2021Conceived of and moderated by Donald Albrecht and Thomas Mellins, curators of the Tidal Basin Ideas Lab exhibition, this evening program is the first in a series of conversations about the changing nature of public space and the complexities of its preservation. The curators will be joined by Setha Low, distinguished professor of Environmental Psychology, Geography, Anthropology, and Women’s Studies, and director of the Public Space Research Group at The Graduate Center, City University of New York and Seri Worden, senior field director for the National Trust for Historic Preservation who will explore the Ideas Lab and the nature of public space in terms of gatherings and demands for political and social change.This webinar is in partnership with the Trust for the National Mall.
