Overview of Position:

Casa Grande Main Street Executive Director coordinates all project activities within the downtown utilizing historic preservation as an integral foundation for economic development. The Executive Director is responsible for the development, execution, and documentation of the Main Street Program. Event coordination, fundraising, budgeting, public relations, marketing, volunteer management and financial reporting are important functions of the position.

In addition, the Executive Director represents the Downtown Casa Grande community and acts as a liaison to other local community organizations.

Fundraising and grant writing are an important aspect of this position. Special consideration will be placed on those attributes.

Hours: 30+ per week with occasional night and weekend hours. The Director reports directly to the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the activity of the Main Street program committees, ensuring that communication among committees is well established; assist committee volunteers with implementation of work plan items
  • Manages all administrative aspects including: developing and maintaining an appropriate data system for record keeping, developing and monitoring budgets, accounting, purchasing, preparing and filing reports, online presences and social media promotion.
  • Manage all ongoing maintenance and fundraising for the Neon Sign Park.
  • Develop strategies for downtown economic development and historic preservation
  • Help coordinate promotional events such as festivals or business promotions to entice visitors
  • Improve the quality and success of events and attract people to downtown
  • Work closely with local media to ensure maximum coverage of promotional activities
  • Encourage a cooperative climate among downtown interests including businesses and public officials
  • Seek additional grant opportunities and complete fundraising to help the organization increase its opportunity to promote downtown
