I am a historic preservationist, art historian, and social advocate currently based in Houston, Texas. I am a field officer for the National Trust and work in our Houston Field Office. My specialty is saving endangered places and preserving Latin@ heritage.
My research interests have led me to focus on the preservation and interpretation of the American experience. Myinterests include ethnic conservation, gentrification, and Latino conservation. My 2014 thesis titled, “From Theory to Practice: Contextualizing Latino Conservation Practices” research that investigates the lack of historicity and preservation of Latino historic and cultural resources in the United States.
