Hi, I'm Lizzy, Grants and Awards Coordinator at the National Trust for Historic Preservation. As someone who moved around a bit growing up, understanding ideas of place and how humans interact with it have always been important to me. I went on to study geography at UNC Chapel Hill and eventually moved to D.C. to try something new.
My favorite thing about my role at the National Trust is that I get to learn about and interact with innovative organizations and people working in a variety of capacities in the preservation field. Moreover, I'm proud that it is my job to help honor (as a part of our National Preservation Awards Program) and fund (as a part of the the National Trust Grants Program) on the ground preservation efforts.
