Gary Petri is a licensed architect with more than 45 years of experience. He is currently engaged in private practice as a consulting architect in the field of historic preservation and planning. His professional experience includes 30 years of involvement in historic preservation, as well as design and planning for college campuses, “Main Street” communities, municipalities, State and County governments and non-profit organizations. His preservation work has involved more than 500 buildings in six states. He was the principal architect for the award winning Tivoli Student Union Revitalization project, the University Center for the Arts for Colorado State University in Fort Collins, the Emerson School for the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and Denver’s City and County Building exterior rehabilitation. He completed a 6-year term on Denver's Lower Downtown Design Review Board and is currently service on the Denver Landmark Preservation Commission.
