I currently work for a relatively small but very dense and exceptionally diverse city in southeastern Michigan. My job is not directly connected with preservation, but does sometimes intersect with it.
My final project for my MS looked at the preservation and adaptive use of former U.S. Life-Saving Service stations on Lake Huron. I remain very interested in the preservation and interpretation of these sites, as well as more generally in the maritime heritage of the Great Lakes and the Atlantic coast.
Many of my other preservation-related interests are related to immigration, migration, conflict, memorialization, and the preservation of cultural landscapes. I am particularly interested in the Great Lakes, New England, and Central/Eastern Europe and the former USSR.
I'm interested in a broad range of preservation-related topics, and am always eager to learn more and discover new opportunities!
