    Hello All,

Wondering if anyone has any experience with tribal housing, particularly pueblo architecture/preservation.  I am in northern New Mexico raising private funding (largely unheard of in tribal communities) to complete the restoration of 20 ancestral adobe homes in the 700 year old plazas.  Any insights are greatly appreciated.

Leslie - The only architecture firm that I know who has any experience with tribal housing is Atkin Olshin Schade Architects.  The architect there to speak with would be Shawn Evans.  I've been impressed by all that he and his firm has done to gain the respect and trust with the native communities out west.  Good luck.

Hi Leslie -- I would also suggest Atkin Olshin Schade and Shawn Evans. I know they've worked with Ohkay Owingeh (and potentially you as well) on rehabilitating the homes around the plaza, so they would be a great resource for pueblo architecture and preservation.
