Hi, all. We're preparing a short publication on historic preservation and Opportunity Zones. In our research we've discovered that several states and some cities have added their own provisions, some giving special allocations of state tax credits to the zones or other preservation based incentives. Others have at least considered waiving some preservation requirements in the Opportunity Zones. If your city or state or other places you work in have enacted specific preservation related carrots or sticks for Opportunity Zones we'd love to hear about them. You can respond here, or email us at Info@PlaceEconomics.com. We hope to get this completed and distributed to the preservation world in the next month or so. Thanks in advance for any help.

You're probably aware of CalOZ but if not, they're looking at state incentives for OZ's. In our state, Fresno and some of the other cities in the Central Valley seem to be coming up with some interesting models of pairing OZ funding with HP funding and other incentives. I'm probably not the right person to ask. In any case, look forward to having you on our webinar :-)

Coming a little late to this conversation, but we did a webinar on Opportunity Zones recently. Not sure if the information from that will be helpful for this effort.
    You can watch it here.

Just a head's up, we just created a webpage here at Forum for Opportunity Zones resources, like our blog posts, GIS mapping, webinars, etc.
Hope you all find this useful!

Yes this is very helpful, thank you. Is this where the PowerPoints from the OZ presentations in Denver will eventually end up? I thought they were all very informative.

@Kirk Huffaker actually we made those available on the Forum Blog a few weeks ago. Here is that direct link.

But yes, they are also included on the opportunity zones page.
