We are a small established architectural practice specializing in historic preservation. We are a storefront business officed in an 1885 building on the courthouse square of a town of 5,000 in Southwest Iowa, in the Omaha metro area. Our firm provides professional services related to historic properties throughout the region. The selected candidate will assist with all phases and aspects of a variety of historic building project types. Candidates should have excellent organizational, verbal, written, and graphic communications skills and the ability to work within a small project team environment. Candidates should have, or be working towards, a professional degree in architecture and be registered or actively working towards registration. The ideal candidate will offer real-world design skills, solid technical construction-related skills, and the ability to follow projects from pre-design through construction. The types of work assigned to this position will be adapted to fit the right individual. Our firm has worked on over 100 historic buildings over the last five years. This is a good place to learn and grow professionally in a low-key environment.
