"For more than 30 years, Donovan Rypkema has worked at the intersection of historic preservation, real estate, and economics, providing services and insights to organizations and towns nationwide. This past week at the National Preservation Conference Rypkema was presented with the 2012 Louise du Pont Crowninshield Award, preservation’s highest honor for his incredible contributions to the field.
On Saturday November 3, Rypekma presented attendees with a special lecture entitled “Evidence Is Not Enough: Historic Preservation in an Age of Public Policy Idiocy.” Both provocative and honest, the lecture offers Rypkema’s assessment of where we are and where we need to go.
